Francis Carmody born 4 May 1923 Dallas, Texas; died 4 Feb 1953 Korea, Missing in Action / Presumed Dead in Korean War. Title: Captain, U. S. Air Force; Service ID: A0785759; Monument: Honolulu, Hawaii. Notes: Captain Carmody was the pilot of a B-26B Invader bomber with the 34th Bomber Squadron, 17th Bomber Wing. On February 4, 1953, while on a night intruder mission, another aircraft heard the order to bail out. Captain Carmody was listed as Missing in Action and was presumed dead on January 2 5, 1954. For his leadership and valor, Captain Carmody was awarded the Distinquished Flying Cross, the Air Medal, the Purple Heart, the Korean Service Medal, The United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal. Guy Reynolds Love Jr. born 28 Sep 1930 South Boardman, Kalkaska county, Michigan. Corporal Love was a member of the 19th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea by an enemy mortar shell on October 20, 1951. Corporal Love was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal.
