Jack Donner visited Carl Dreeves of RFD Traverse City, Sunday afternoon and evening. Carl has just returned from Korea and has received his discharge from the service.

Found nothing on the Dreeves name but: Carl A. Dreves b. 29 Sep 1910 and d. 14 Jan 1988 (verified) was found in the Social Security Index. Grand Traverse marriage records show Carl A. Dreves and Margaret Snyder married in 1929 in Liber 4, page 269. Death records for the same county show that Carl d. 14 Jan 1988.

1920 census of East Bay, Grand Traverse gives us Carl, age 9 living in East Bay township with his father, Joseph C and mother, Theresia (Mueller). Siblings Marquerite, Henry J. and Josephine A. Dreves.

The 1930 census shows Carl A of East Bay twp, age 19 living with wife Margaretta M., age 22.
His occupation is truckdriving for the county. I know he also retired from the Grand Traverse County Road Commission. They are living next door to Carl's parents at this time. Carl is renting his home and has no radio in his home.

Carl is buried in Oakwood Catholic Diocesan Cemetery, Traverse City, Grand Traverse, Michigan.

Carl's wife Margaret's surname has been found spelled Snyder and Snider. She was born 7 Mar 1908, Monroe, Michigan and d. 13 Mar 1997 Traverse City.

Silver Lake Grange will sponsor a games part and special homecoming for Charles Lewis, who has been stationed in Korea. (missing word) the Grange Hall at Grawn on Saturday evening at 8:30 0'clock. Dancing will be a feature of the entertainment and refreshments will be served. A blanket will be given away during the evening. All are invited.
